Best shampoo to use for thinning or balding hair as young man?

I am not sure what brings it back- but if you start using Rogain or a generic equivalent now, it will help keep you from losing more.

My boyfriend and his brother both started to lose hair in their early 20's. The one that freaked out and started using Rogain is the one who still has his hair, years later.

Keep in mind that you will need to keep using it, though, and it is not cheap.Best shampoo to use for thinning or balding hair as young man?

  • Can shampoos meant to be used by ladies, be used by men just for the fragrance?

both men and women have hair on their scalp. it shouldn't be just about the fragrance, it's about the fact that shampoo is for hairCan shampoos meant to be used by ladies, be used by men just for the fragrance?
Shampoo is for everyone, if you like one that is a ladies one just use it, who caresCan shampoos meant to be used by ladies, be used by men just for the fragrance?
Why not I didn't know there were shampoos designed only for women.
There's no such thing as ';just for ladies'; shampoo. Go right ahead and use it.
No. Try it and you will die instantly~
    totally :)
I think so. I wouldn't have a problem with a man using them
    and vice versa
    nope its acid
    yea
    yah y not!
    I don't think so.

    Quite different to me.

For men with curly hair, what looks better, just shampooing or using some sort of styling gel?

Depends on the girl, and it also depends on your personal sense of style. Using a product on your hair can help control the curls a bit, but you can use product and make it appear more natural. If you have shorter curly hair, try putting a small but of moose or gel ( if your hair stands up well on it's own, use gel. if you need more volume, use moose) in you hair and working through well. use a blowdryer and work with the curls. it will give you a very natural look. if you have more questions, feel free to IM me or e-mail me. Is it ok to switch shampoos ?? and whats the best for men?

use suaveIs it ok to switch shampoos ?? and whats the best for men?
paul mitchell tea tree is the best shampoo for menIs it ok to switch shampoos ?? and whats the best for men?
    I like american crew.It comes in mint,tea tree,normal etc.Also

Redken has a nice mens line.Paul mitchell has a tea tree shampoo which is nice I just find the smel over powering.I switch my shampoos depending on the season.Hair can be dry in winter and need more moisture and vice versa for summer.
Since hair is hair, regardless of whether its the hair of a woman or a man, any and all brands will work equally as well on a man as it would on a woman. Its recommended that you switch shampoos if your current one is not giving your hair the look and feel that you expect.

There are great options in every price range, even though expensive brands claim to work better (I've used both and have seen no evidence to support this claim). For under $10 a bottle, I would recommend Neutragena, Tresemme, or Thermasilk---if you use heat styling tools. If you're willing to spend more, I am loyal to Matrix, Paul Mitchell, Redken, and Schwartzkopf.
It is a good idea to switch shampoos once a month because they can build up on the hair and so can hair conditioner. It also depends on your hair type which shampoo to use if you wash your hair ever day then get a gentle cleanser for every day use so you wont dry out your scalp
Switching shampoos doesn't hurt or do anything to your hair. I would recommend head and shoulders shampoo for men, or pert.
    Switching is no problem.

The best depends on your hair type and what your is your hair goal.
yes. especially if you change to the explosive treatment, its got nitroglycerin in it.

Mane-n-tale shampoo can be used on dogs and it is excellent on human hair too. I've sold it in a beauty supply store and a pet salon. Is man-n-tale shampoo good for dogs?
As long as your dog doesn't have really sensitive skin and you don't use it around its face you ought to be OK.
No. Unless that's all you have got. Dog shampoo would be the best. I use Dove to get rid of odors when I have to though.
no one should use only pet shampoo
i use mane and tail on myself....i don't think it would be hurtful to a dog..but then, you really should check with your vet first.
i use baby shampoo on my dogs. I suggest you don't use horse shampoo on dogs. the shampoo might be too strong.
Yeah it works fine. i use it on all my horses and dogs. i have never!! had any problem with it.
Mane and tale is very good for dogs and actually works great on people too. happy washing! =)

I have really thick hair, and it gets real frizzy. i want really soft hair and not as poofy. what kind of stuff should i try? What is a good shampoo and conditioner for my hair? Im a man.?
A really great shampoo and conditioner for men with thick hair is the Graham Webb Velvet Soft Shampoo and conditioner. This shampoo and conditioner combo is great for men with thick frizzy hair because it contains softeners that soften the hair to make it more manageable and less frizzy. You will be able to style your hair much easier because your has been softened to be much more manageable. For more information visit http://www.kristybeauty.comWhat is a good shampoo and conditioner for my hair? Im a man.?
Dove therapy for unmanageable hair, the kind with the hair serum in it to control it
I think the best for both men and women is Herbal essences,

Its great for thick frizzy hair and it smells awesome :)

    Shampoo for men?

I'm a man interested in keeping my man suit clean. I go to get shampoo and there are like 1000 girly choices what should I choose? and does it make a difference?Shampoo for men?
Go to bath and body works. They have this shampoo for men... And you can use it as body wash as well! It smells SO GOOD...

    here is the link...

Shampoos that benefit women also benefit men. I personally use natural herbal shampoos containing indian gooseberry, neem and brahmi (bacopa monnieri). It has helped me reduce hair loss by quite a significant amount besides eliminating dandruff.

I actually started looking at alternative treatments for premature graying, but eventually adopted it for hair loss as well. The best shampoos out there are the ones with fruit extracts and are far better than any of the commercial over-the-counter shampoos.
What does that mean??? ';Man suit';? Shampoos are unisex. If it makes you feel better, choose one in a blue bottle.
    Head %26amp; shoulders works good
Aussie Moist. They have a purple bottle which seems feminine, but it's all i need. I don't even need the conditioner. It works just as well as a 2in1.

But, you should have a backup. Your hair will get used to it after a while, so once a week change it up. Use a roommate/girlfriend/wife's shampoo once a week. Or just pick randomly when you're in the store :)
Well, Head and Shoulders is what I've always seen men use. They have all types of ';flavors';. It's not just for dandruff anymore!!
    suave
yes it makes a difference ....

as a man you need to be weary of shampoo's that have SLS SodiumLauryl Sulfate in them ...as there is tons of evidence pointing to that ingredient being the cause of hair follicle damage....this is all new discoveries.....as there are dozens of teens and 20 somethings coming to me with hairloss issues......you want to AVOID that...at all costs!

i have a mens hair blog which will answer your shampoo questions....etc..... you can ask questions....print the photos - etc....

    www.razerburn.blogspot.com

the absolute BEST mens shampoo on the planet....is DS Laboratories : REVITA.....

Every single ingredient in the shampoo rocks for the health and growth of your hair....
If you go to a professional salon, they have a brand just for men called ';American Crew'; or there is also Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo for men. Both lines are decently priced and are nicely scented. My brother uses them and thinks they're great.
A good product is Panteen Pro-V. Make sure you check the bottle to see if it is shampoo, conditioner or both. Also, if you ever get dandruff or have a dry scalp, Head and Sholders is a good one. Again, make sure you check the bottle.
