I keep my hair really short and have used Head and Shoulders occasionally to get rid of dandruff, but I want a better smelling shampoo which can do a better job of moisturizing and cleansing my scalp and hair. I don't think I have a severe dandruff problem and was wondering if anyone knew of a less toxic shampoo which could alleviate my occasional dandruff outbreaks at the same time. So if you have just regular hair, probably any shampoo is fine. But if you have problems with your hair, you should probably look at the mens shampoos. I don't think there's much difference. Once I used my dad's shampoo, big whoop. The only real thing is like some shampoo targets, like I know for women they have all kinds of targets like Hydration, Volume, Straighten. That may be the case for some men shampoos. So if you have just regular hair, probably any shampoo is fine. But if you have problems with your hair, you should probably look at the mens shampoos. Suave is a great shampoo %26amp; very economical. Some of the Suave shampoo has conditioner in it, which is great for your hair. As for soap, have you tryed Irish Spring, Zest, or something like that? You may like the Derek Jeter toiletries that Avon is selling now. I hear the scent is really nice %26amp; a friend of mine bought some for her ten year old son, %26amp; he loved them.

Suave is a great shampoo %26amp; very economical. Some of the Suave shampoo has conditioner in it, which is great for your hair. As for soap, have you tryed Irish Spring, Zest, or something like that? You may like the Derek Jeter toiletries that Avon is selling now. I hear the scent is really nice %26amp; a friend of mine bought some for her ten year old son, %26amp; he loved them.
head and shoulders is great for men or some guys like using dove or whatever since oyu don't need womens styling shampoos i would use something simple taht gets your hair clean once agian head and shoulders would be great you can get it anwhere like vons or ralphs or target or walmart
for soap i suggest lever 2000 just because it is soap and it isn't ';girly'; smelling or try using dial for men

First of all, don't think you have to buy a shampoo ';for men';. Most likely it's dollar-for-dollar an inferior product than a shampoo that's marketed for women or both genders.
I have thick, medium-length hair and I've tried a lot of things over the years. I think that the best value comes at between $7-14 bottles. I haven't found anything less than $7 that works great. Anything over $14 and you'll probably start getting diminishing returns. Plus you don't want people think you're vain and spend a fortune on your hair.
My recommendation is Infusium 23 Moisturologie. It's about $8 a bottle, you can find it at most grocery/drugstores, and in my opinion works it better than American Crew or Paul Mitchell, both of which cost over $10 (and for a smaller bottle too). Also, the bottle is gray/blue and doesn't look feminine if you're worried about that.
Don't forget to buy the conditioner too, that's mostly what's going to make your hair smooth. Shampoo is for cleaning.
