- I, myself, use the purple bottle for fine thin hair types.

To help with thinning hair, use Nioxin products. They are available at any salon, even Great Clips, and Wal-mart's salon. They aren't super cheap, but should help you keep from losing your hair.

If you shave your head, or go bald from Chemo or something, there is no guarantee what it will look like when it grows back. I don't know from experience, but I've heard that hair that used to be curly can grow back straight, or vice versa, and have even heard of it changing colors! A good, gentle all-around shampoo is baby shampoo. It is very gentle, and will not harm your hair. The store brand is pretty cheap. I also like Mane 'n Tail. I use that a lot, it's gentle and leaves your hair looking nice. It's like $5 a quart, pretty cheap, comparatively.

The real key is to be gentle with your hair. Don't briskly rub it with the towel after washing it, just blot the excess water away. Brisk toweling causes breakage. Comb it gently with a wide-toothed comb, don't ever brush wet hair. Do use conditioner, no matter how thin or fine your hair is, use at least a little to eliminate tangles.

These tips should help, no matter who you are!
The best shampoo you could ever use would have to be one that doesn't contain any harsh chemicals such as (surfactant) a lathering agent, quite common in shampoo.

so all natural ingredient's may be the way go they may cost a little more but what price do you put on your hair.
head and shoulders all the way :D
